Just visited a wonderful toy shop in Palo Alto recently. They specialize in wooden and natural material toys. I really like their Ostheimer Ark and Animals. It's rare nowadays to find quality toys that are made in European countries. You'll find great gift items for baby showers here!

My friend Ray is putting together an anime faire in San Francisco Japan Town on Sepember 11-12, 2004.
He needs help in the Operations Logistics, Convention Operations, Security), Video Programming (Equipment Operators, Badge Checkers), Live Programming (Video Gaming, Dance, Tabletop Gaming, Badge Checkers, Guest Relations), Operations and Member Services (Registration, Volunteers, Info Desk, Customer Service) Departments. Knowledge of anime, manga and/or the fandom around it is a plus, but not required. Interested parties must be honest, reliable, customer service oriented, able to work in a team and must also be able to attend the next General Meeting on August 21. You will be needed in the afternoons or evenings beginning September 8th for convention setup as well.

I discovered Cuboro, a neat wooden construction toy during my stay at Heidelberg, Germany the summer of 2002. It is basically a set of 5cm x 5cm x 5cm beech wood cubes with tunnels and tracks. You can stack the cubes together to build a tower which marbles can travel across the grooves. I own the Profi supplementary set.

Just got my hands on Guilty Gear Isuka for the Japanese PS2 last week. Pretty cool fighting game along the styles of King of Fighter and Street Fighter series. I really like the four simultaneous player on screen feature. A good game for late night button mashing.

My manager brought me some saltwater taffy from Maine the other day. The hand-pulled Goldenrod kisses saltwater taffy is made in York Beach, Maine. I'm normally not a big fan of saltwater taffy, but these ones are quite good.
